Distributor Cap Question

I'm building a '94 351W and have a stock HEI replacement distributor. I don't like the big, clunky look of it and would like to put a "points style" cap on it. Will a stock cap and rotor fit on this distributor and will there be any issues?

Thanks.

Re: Distributor Cap Question

The large cap needs a large base, so the later distributor may not work. I believe you can get an adapter to put a large cap on an old distributor, but I don't think they make an adapter to go the other way. Probably have to get a new distributor to get the small cap.
