Or you can put some smaller wheels underneath the car, having less rolling resistance...

Handycapping?? Come on 5mph impact bumpers were a joke the day they were made compliments of our Government protecting us from ourselves!! Anything over 5mph and you were toast anyways cause the weight of the bumper helped with nose dive and would take out everything above the bumper!!!

Your car looks great. I'm sure you've mentioned this before but what size tires/wheels are you running?

ya he did it he lightend up the bumper and made new brackets then cut the ends off and took some length off the ends then trimmed the ends back so it wouldn't stick so far back as your moving the bumper in closer and the ends would stick too far back and be close to the wheel well and look funny.its just a matter of cutting ,grinding, fitting and welding it back together then gringing it all smooth so it can be rechromed. I asked him about his bumper on another forum but I know that's how it's done as have done it to other cars. I have a Mopar in my home shop that both bumpers are getting removed and rollpans fabbed and welded to the car to create a smoothed in look.I will however have a reinforcment behind it incase it were to get hit as a safety feature it would act as the bumper but the rollpans will get killed but hopefully not the occupants
