I need to swap out the valve body in my C4. I haven't had a C4 apart for a LONG time - I usually have my machinist do all my tranny work.
But, now I want to take out the valve body that is in the car and replace it with a valve body in my spare transmission. I want to do this with the tranny still in the car, of course.
Am I going to run into anything unexpected, like check balls falling out or anything?
I just plan on dropping the pan, unbolting the VB
and swapping it out. The one in the car is a manual reverse, and the one I'm putting in is a factory, automatic, forward. I know I still have the gov. in this tranny, so other than hooking up a vacuum signal to the modulator, there shouldn't be anything else I need to consider, is there?
