Tremec Stick Shift Shootout & Racer Appreciation Party at NMRA Opener

Do you think your manually shifted Ford-powered street machine is one of the quickest in the country? Well, you won’t want to miss this! Long-time NMRA supporter, TREMEC has announced that they will host the 5th annual Stick Shift Shootout as part of this year’s Nitto Tire NMRA Spring Break Shootout—March 2-5, 2017, in Bradenton, Florida!
The rules are simple: Street-type manual transmissions only. May include race-oriented modifications such as ‘face-plated’ or ‘pro-shifted’ gears. Must be hand operated via a single shift handle. Transmissions with multiple levers or air/electronic/hydraulic actuation not permitted.
The staging lanes at Bradenton Motorsports Park will be bursting at the seams as over 120 entrants will battle for top QA1 True Street honors, with the fastest 8 stick cars receiving a special shootout plaque to recognize their prowess. From there things will heat-up as the four quickest manual-equipped vehicles will have an all-out slugfest with a ‘winner takes all’ heads-up finale! The winner will go home with a brand new TREMEC transmission of choice!
Following the True Street competition, TREMEC will host a Racer Appreciation Party that will take place before the Aerospace Components winners circle awards ceremony on Saturday, March 4th. Open to all True Street racers, along with their families and crew, the gathering will feature plenty hot pizza, cold beer and sodas, and good cheer for all!
Brought to you by series sponsor, Keystone Automotive, the Nitto Tire NMRA Spring Break Shootout features insane heads-up Street Outlaws, Renegades, Coyote Modifieds and much more as the season kicks off with a bang…only in Bradenton, Florida! Watch as Street Outlaw world's collide when you witness the fastest NMRA Mustangs on the planet as well as Street Outlaws TV stars, Bobby Ducote and BoostedGT, grudge race best 2 out of 3 on Saturday, March 4th! The NMRA Spring Break Shootout also features one of the largest manufacturers midways of the year, a huge used parts swap meet, burnout contest, the awesome UPR Products All-Ford Car Show, and special race classes including Outlaw True Street, Modular Xtreme, EcoBoost Battle, and the Spring Break, Terminator/GT500, Turbo Coyote, and Stick Shift Shootouts.
The NMRA Spring Break Shootout event attracts Mustang racers, show participants, vendors, and fans from all around the U.S. in search of sunshine, warm weather, and insane Blue Oval action at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida, March 2-5, 2017.
