408 Cleveland HP Estiamte

Looking to get HP estimate on the following

Eagle 408 stroker internally balanced
TrickFlow Track Heat single plane manifold (port matched)
1" spacer
TrickFlow 225's
10.5 compression
Hydraulic Roller 236/244 .622/.622
Morel lifters
Windage tray
GZ vacuum pump
1 3/4" to 3" collector
Holly Ultra XP 850 or 950?

Easily over 500. I made 500 with a similar flat lifter hydraulic cam and iron 4V closed chamber heads heads twenty five years ago. Your heads are far superior. I did have a modified Holley strip dominator which was about equal to the manifold you have. I ran an 850 DP.

Finally got the motor on the dyno. Little update to the build though. Increased compression to 11.25:1 and ended up using an ultra hp 950 carb.

Third and final pull:
604hp @ 6200
551trq @ 5200

Thats a nice package but your somewhat limited to the amount of rpms you can spin it. If your not going to turn it past 6200 your fine. If you start to lean on it be careful. I wouldnt go past 6800 maybe 7k if yer feeling brave. When I do a C and its not staying in stock configuration IE: a 351 I set them up at 383ci. then block fill the bottom 2 inches of the water jackets and you good to 10k. The rod to stroke ratio is not good on a C and if you get too aggressive you'll push the pistons through the side of the block. I would have to go back and check my notes but it gets fixed the right way with 383 ci. The r-s ratio comes back to 7.0-1 I did one about 12 years ago on race gas that made 1088hp at 9800rpm that was with 1 1150cfm dominator on a Hogan sheet metal intake.
