66 289 engine
Rebuilt 66 289 engine pulled from my Fairlane a few years back to replace with a roller cam 302. Ran very well, no leaks, no smoke. The engine was rebuilt as part of an amateur restoration shortly before I purchased the car. I had intended to run the engine in the Fairlane after I repaired the floor pans, but a great deal on a 302 came up.
Stock iron heads, stock rockers, water pump, and flexplate. I don't know what cam it has other than it's probably a hydraulic flat tappet cam. Has Edelbrock Performer 289 intake and Cobra valve covers. No distributor, carb, or pulleys (I needed them for the Fairlane). C5AE-6015-E casting numbers and 6E10 date code on the block, indicating a May 10, 1966 build date. Good plug-n-play motor or a numbers correct motor for someone who needs one for a restoration.
$1000. The engine is located in Gainesville.
