H4 Headlight system for my 64

Has anyone ever installed H4 headlights in there 64, would like to know all the in's and outs with doing it. I did it to a 72 VW Bug and loved it.

they will put a strain on your wiring as they draw more current. good to make them relay controlled

Relay controlled is the only way to go, power from the old system to operate the relays and power right from the battery to operate the headlight. I live in the Swamps of South Carolina, Pigs the size of small cow's run across the road all the time, nice to be able to see them.

I did that with my 65. Bought the blue dot assemblies and relays off Ebay. It came with 4 High/low bulbs, so I wired it up with 4 low beams and 4 high beams. I don't know if that's strictly legal but it makes it very easy for my 70 year old eyes to see at night now.
