Welcome to Iceman 12, looking forward to seeing pic's and what you do with your '69 Falcon.
Rick, where is World of Wheels being held this year?
retyler, seeing another Falcon the same color is kind of trippy huh? There use to be one here in San Diego a bit south from me that use to get mistaken for mine a lot. It was almost the very same color. Last I saw it was on Ebay about 2.5 years ago...wish I could have scored it.
That web site has gotten better since last I was there. They have added a lot more images and history. That concept Falcon that they had was pretty freaky looking looked like a cross between a T-bird and the Bat mobile. And I never knew that the Mustang was referred to as the "Special Falcon" during its conception. Interesting stuff.
Tri-power heads on I6's, Shelby drop conversions, Roll bars/Subframes, T-5 Conversions all sounds like Falcon good times!
Hey Falcon Eddie, I used a little cheap-o Ryobi 4" hand held angle grinder. Paid like 30.00 for it from the Home Depot and it was one of my best tool purchases for 2005. I got crazy with that thing and cut out everything from my export braces, opening in radiator support, hole in the trans tunnel for the T-5 and the support with great accuracy. I think it is an easier tool to maneuver than a sawzall or a jig saw but then if I did not have it a sawzall would be a close second.
I also found that the entire brace does not have to be removed to get that trans in there. I removed the rear section only and left the integrity of what was left. If you rebuild or relocate the existing I'm sure every one would like to see what you do with it.
Hey Gary, your sig pic is not posting, miss seeing that red Comet, glad to hear you got it straightened out after the mishap.
