Idler arm bushing
Does the idler arm bushing help the steering return to center when the car is driving? It seems that the tight fit of the bushing would kinda grab the rod end that goes through it and stretch the rubber when moved and then sort of help return the steering to center where the bushing is relaxed.
Im asking this because the idler arm bushing on my Comet was replaced with a bearing kit by the previous owner and when driving the car the steering has to be physically returned to center, it doesn't really do it unguided. I just had the front end aligned and the steering/suspension isnt worn; its still pretty tight. This car has factory P/S.
