Should not have to if you hit the right location.. I did the mod on my Falcon and ended up putting it back stock for several reasons. First, it didn't do much if anything for driving that I could measure. Second it was a pain to do front end alignments with headers. Third I felt it put a bind on the ball joints. My car drives pretty good at the present. As much as the Falcon and Mustang are alike, they are different. A good sway bar, roller perches, and a good alignment with stock spindles I think would make the best improvements. Along with R&P steering if you choose to go that route like I did.
