'70 Disc front end in '66?

Fairly simple question, will the disc front end (A arms, steering linkage etc.) bolt directly in to my 66. I just replaced my stock dead 390 with a '70 429 and would like to be able to stop every once in a while. One other thing, can you tell if the differential is posi or not, short of taking the bloody thing apart? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

A 70 front disc setup is a direct bolt on to a 66 model...remeber to get the brake porportioning valve with it!

As for a posi (Traction lock is the Ford name..."Posi" is the Chevy name!), put it in drive and stand on it!! if it leaves two black stripes, its a Traction Lock!

I doubt that its a Traction Lock, though....most 'regular' Galaxies did'nt have traction lock...especially if it was a 352 or 2barrel 390.

If it was a 428, then its a pretty good chance its got one.
