Galaxie build specs

I have a '64 Galaxie and was wondering if there was anyone that could verify how the car came from the factory, such as particular options, etc. I've heard of a Marti Report, but it doesn't go back that far in model year. I'm hoping that I might still find a build sheet somewhere in the car, but none yet. Thanks

Ford didn't keep track of options prior to '65 I believe. How many bucket seat cars were built with column shift or column shift with swingaway etc. They didn't keep track of that type info. If that's the kind of info you are looking for.
You can find out how many convertibles were made but not how many convertibles were built with standard shift, auto etc. Only reason we know how many had bucket seats is because only the XLs had them.

Here's a link to the general production numbers.

Thanks ShotRod. I think mine is original, but always nice to know. I wonder how many of the 58,000 XL 2dr h/t's are still around. I know you don't see any driving around down here.

Really hard to say. I don't see any convertibles either out here but I don't get out and about much. More people seem to see the cnv in ohio and places not sunny california.
The man that runs LoveFords, John Rotella broke mine down estimation wise on how many were left of the 15, 000 that were same color and interior as mine with swingaway and it wasn't many probably. Most of the time if I see a red 64 convert it has red interior and dash also unless it has been changed to white. I guess it's anyones guess.

I wonder if anybody has a friend in the DMV that could track how many Gals are registered in the US?

I have no clue on that one. Probably would have to be done state by state and added together.
I can tell ya there seems to be a lot more of them now than there was 5 yrs ago.
