Rear Quater panels

I ordered from Dearborn Classic rear quater panels for my 63 Galaxie 500 boxtop. Well they come in two sections. The problem I have is when I ordered the rear section did not know that they don't make the front section of the rear quater panel. I am in need of the front section of the quater panels.

Does anyone know where I can find them. This really stinks. Damn Dearborn.

Re: Rear Quater panels

What do you mean by "front section"? Are you talking about that small dog leg shaped piece that goes around the front part of the back wheel well and connects to the rocker panel??

Re: Rear Quater panels

Quarter?
Not Dearborn's fault but I always look around before ordering from them. In this case the part probably came from Surplus Supply in Ohio which is much closer to you than Oregon.

Re: Rear Quater panels

I am sorry it's not the dog leg piece. Instead of the quater panel coming in one big section from door to rear it is two pieces. Splits at center of wheel well. Now I have the back section. I am needing the front. The part from door to center of wheel well. Does that make any sense>

I checked the surplus supply and they did not have it.

Re: Rear Quater panels

is this any help?

Auto Body Restoration Catalog

edit- nevermind- they only list 62...
maybe try www.dvap.com , they have a ton of rust free stuff out in Arizona, but pricey...they wanted 150 apiece for inner wheel well for our 65, so I just patched them bet a quarter is probably 500 ish.

edit#2-
read description here- says can be modified for 63:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...Q5fAccessories
hopefully you can find one, but if not, having one modded might be a option...

good luck,
Tim

Re: Rear Quater panels

I bought the front quarter panel section years ago, but the body man decided that the old metal could be repaired.

The piece has been sitting in my garage for about 20 years.

Unfortunately, it's for a 64, not a 63.

Re: Rear Quater panels

Well I just sent them an email.... I am crossing my fingers that they have them. For my passenger side is real bad at the wheel well and the drives side is saveable with a big dent in it, in which I didn't see until I started to sand on it and found like an inch of puddy.

Re: Rear Quater panels

If you can get the dog leg for a four door you could use that to repair the wheel well arch and hopefully be able to patch front of the dog leg to you're existing metal. That is what I did on my 61 when I used four door quarters to repair the rust.

Re: Rear Quater panels

Mac's sells the dog legs a bit cheaper than the above mentioned website. I'm about to order some myself.
