Magnaflow mufflers

I am ready to have a new exhaust system installed on my 67 Gal since my engine swap is complete and I would like to hear others experiences. The 460 forum supports Magnaflows over other brands so I am leaning toward that brand, but not married to it.

First question is, do I need an offset/offset or offset/center muffler. My headers are 2 1/2" collectors. Second question, should I use H pipe or X pipe in front of the mufflers, is one better than the other. Third question, does anyone have a model number to recommend.

500HP 460, FPA headers.

Re: Magnaflow mufflers

Mustang Performance mufflers are 100% stainless steel and lap-joint welded for solid construction and rugged reliability even in the most extreme conditions. They feature a free-flowing, straight-through perforated stainless steel core , stainless mesh wrap and acoustical fiber fill to deliver that smooth, deep tone. Mustang are packed tight with this acoustical material unlike some others' products to ensure long life and no sound degradation over time. Backed by a lifetime warranty.
The Ford Mustang is an American sports car manufactured by the Ford Motor Company. It was initially based on the second generation mufflers North American Ford Falcon, a compact car. Production began in Dearborn, Michigan on March 9, 1964 and the car was introduced to the public on April 17, 1964 at the New York World's Fair. It is Ford's second oldest nameplate currently in production, although the F-Series pickup truck line mufflers has undergone major nameplate changes over the years. It was Ford's most successful launch since the Model A.

Re: Magnaflow mufflers

you forgot the rest:

Executive stylist John Najjar, who was a fan of the World War II P-51 Mustang fighter plane, suggested the nameAn alternative view was that the Mustang name was first suggested by Robert J. Eggert, Ford Division market research manager. Eggert, a breeder of quarterhorses, received a birthday present from his wife of the book, The Mustang by J. Frank Dobie in 1960. Later, the book's title gave him the idea of adding the Mustang name for Ford's new mufflers concept car. As the person responsible for Ford's research on potential names, Eggert added "Mustang" to the list to be tested by focus groups; "Mustang," by a wide margin, " came out on top under the heading: "Suitability as Name for the Special Car." Mustang mufflers. MUFFLERS.
Whether you drive a street, off-road or diesel truck/SUV or a mustang, mufflers have dyno-proven exhaust systems that are rugged enough to survive grueling Baja racing. Each mufflers system is designed to bolt right on and provide years of trouble-free performance. Mufflers provide a smooth, deep tone to your Mustang that is suitable for grocery-getting SUV's with casual tow duties to full blown modded drag racing diesel pickups.
Magnaflow Mustang mufflers are the best mufflers on the market.
