hey guys/girls. i am new to the forum but not to the car scene. i recently got a 69 galaxy 2dr hard top. i dont know anything about it other than it has a 351w in it.
Hey Mr. K.
Welcome to the FMF. And to get you started off right: It's Galaxie, not galaxy.
Is it a 500? LTD? Or XL?
Also, there are a number of really nice publications with GREAT information that will familiarize you with your new Gal. They are generally available at Auto Zone. They are:
"Super 60's Fords: The Inside Story Of The Most Powerful Fords Ever Built" by John Smith
"Ford Performance: Includes All Modern Ford Performance Engines" by Pat Ganahl
And probably one of the most helpful things that you might consider getting is a "1969 Ford Shop Manual". They are generally available on e-Bay.
its still sitting in my friends driveway until hopefully later today or tomorrow.
You have a garage or shop in which to work on your Gal?
i have tons of plans for it being as it is pretty hurt cosmetically right now. a lot of people are probably not going to like the route that i go with but that is ok.
It's your vehicle and you can do as you please. By the time you're finished, you will have come to realize that Galaxies are living creatures and as such have feelings and emotions about what you do with and to them. You can tell that they like what you're doing by how well they cooperate with your efforts. If they don't like what you're doing, they have all kinds of nefarious ways to let you know. Be sensitive (or else).
anyways this is going to be my project thread. it will be a slow project but check back for updates
Although in the present economy, a picture is now worth only two hundred words, it is pretty much appreciated by everyone to have lots of JPGs of your Gal and what you're doing. Pictures will get you lots of attention around here.

powder coat all chrome peices

You might consider posting the information found on the Warranty Plate. That's always a good place to start.
