Replacement Tie Rods

The driver side Tie Rod has a slight bend in it and makes me want to replace both of them while I'm at it.

Looking at these from Old Parts Source. They mention "with Power Steering", but my Gal does not have PS. Thought I would call them to see if they have non PS tie rods. But before I do, anyone have experience with this vendor, or can recommend another?

Re: Replacement Tie Rods

I also had a bent tie rod. All we did was heat up the area where the bend was, and then straighten it up.

Re: Replacement Tie Rods

did see other part numbers for manual steering: C3AZ-3280-A or C1AA-3280-B

the power steering ones are a c3....dash-B, no idea what the difference is... I'd try to find a Moog or other name brand if possible, I bought some sway bar links for our mercury, they looked cheep, didnt last a year... no idea on the vendor either. I tried searching on amazon, page wouldnt load...may try there later too- good luck!

Yeah, product and pricing vary quite a bit.....$125.00 for a pair, $165 for a single NOS tie rod, this single rod at $119....

Guess I need to determine if I want NOS. I only need one, maybe I go NOS...ouch.

Ah so... give a man a tie rod and he can drive straight for a day. Give a man a torch and he can drive straight for the rest of his life....
