66 7 Litre

Just joined last week and finally uploaded some pics of the later stages of work from the restoration/rebuild of my 7 Litre.
this is just finishing up and test fitting before paint.

Inside the trunk prior to exterior paint.

Fitting the new headliner. I have to give a big thanks to Dearborn Classics on the quality of the headliner, carpet and front bucket upholstery, the rest is original.

The finished interior.

the rear seats and panels are almost perfect condition.

All painted, assembled and clean.

Finally the 428. It's .030 over, forged pistons, balanced, Weiand 180* single plane intake, .533 lift 270* duration cam and Holley 750 though I still have the stock intake and Autolite 4100 in the garage.

the original C6 has been rebuilt with a 67 command shift valve body installed, though I don't have any pictures of that.

One thing I bought this car in the spring of 1980 just before I finished high school and joined the military, so it sat in storage at my parents farm until I brought it home in 94 in order to start restoring it. I completed it in 2002 and have enjoyed it since.

Re: 66 7 Litre

A couple of other liberties I took on the exterior was to remove the Ford and Galaxie 500 lettering from the hood, trunk lid and rear quarters the n weld in the holes. I also used the original floor, mats rips, holes and all with clear mats on top to help preserve what's left.

Great work on your 66. I can't wait until I get mines ready for paint.
