rear end numbers

I got my66 up on a lift today and decoded the axle tag
WDD L 3.00 5MC

When decoded with the chard it stated 8 3/4 ring gear. Ive decided to buy a third member
from Johns Industries a 3.89 TrueTrac and this will fit correct ???

Re: rear end numbers

You're buying a complete third member and it is a nine inch housing, correct? I don't see why it shouldn't take any nine inch third member, regardless of original ring gear size.
