Question Air Vent Control Cable

The end of the control cable for the right air door broke off (68 XL). Anyone have a source for a replacement? It doesn't have to be stock if I there is something that will work just as good if not better.

Mine too.................. Was considering a dab or two of JD Weld on the break point.

Re: Air Vent Control Cable

Over the weekend I decided to see if I could cobble up a solution. I found that the shrouds on expanding concrete wall fasteners fit around the end piece nicely. I put the end together in a vice with a screw in the end so I could slide the shroud. Then I mixed up some epoxy, applied it, and slid the shroud over it. The shroud has some slots in it so I filled those with epoxy to make sure it gets inside well. It's currently curing. There will be an issue getting the nut to secure it to the dash back on, but I have some ideas. Will post back with my findings.
