Re: 67 , , large or small flange

Not much information so I don't know if you're looking for front or rear brakes or what manufacturer you're talking about so I'll give you this.

When I went with a Wilwood disc brake conversion the only question regarding the front brakes was whether I had drum or disc brake spindles and what size wheels I was running. As far as the rear goes, you need to know again, what size wheels you're running and what size axle flange you have. Wilwood makes it easy by providing a diagram of the different styles offered. In my particular case I found my measurements on the chart but my flange looked a bit different. I called Wilwood tech support, explained that to him and he said it's not so much if it looks the same, but the measurements have to be correct. I ordered the kit for the measurements I have and all is good.

In my particular case, the kit I needed for the rear was 140-11387-DR

Here's a link to the chart: Wilwood Axle Flange Chart

My bad,, it was a front kit i was looking at on CARID, ,
So flange refers to the axle flange..
Idk why i didn't know that.
Did you do front and rear on yours?
Could you give me any pointers and possibly post a few pictures?
Id greatly appreciate it.
Scott

Re: 67 , , large or small flange

Both the front and rear were done on my car, however, I didn't do it myself my friend did. So, unfortunately I can't give you any tips and he didn't send any pics.

For what it's worth, he said it was pretty straight forward and not difficult at all but he's a mechanic by trade.

Hey 67, I'm not sure if this is of any help to you but on my 66 Gal with standard front disc brakes I ordered this setup from Mac's. Seemed to bolt up to my 66 just fine (have not driven the car yet).
