I am in need for a front bumper! I paid to get mine rechromed and these damn guys have not returned my calls or made any attempt to return my bumper since January! Theives out of LA, Ca. I'm in Nor Cal and have searched the internet and parts places and can not find one anywhere. If there is anyone who may have one sitting around, please contact me.

Thank you,
Tony

It took 4 months for a friends under hood supports for their '57 other make. But that does seem a tad too long!

There is a guy in Lake Stevens WA but he's more '63/64 parts but maybe he would have an idea? He always has an ad on Craigslist seattle area.

Stan the Ford man maybe? I don't have his number but just google Stan the Ford man and believe it or not his number will come up. At least it did a few years ago.

Sorry i wasn't much help!

That sucks. keep an eye on ebay. They come up from time to time. If you find one and still need it chromed, make the drive to New Age Finishing in Fresno. when i lived it Nor Cal it comes be over $1k to chrome a bumper on my 62 Merc. Most shops are gone now. New Age did mine for around $550 which was half the cost.

California is expensive to get things chromed with all the regulations.

I checked and JV Chrome didn't have a 62 Galaxie bumper with them at LARS.
My brother was ripped off by a company called CHROME when they showed up at a little swap meet in Vegas, my brother paid for and handed off a bumper and bumperettes to a 1958 Ranchero to be rechromed. After many emails the bumperetts suddenly showed up a year later. All communications from them ceased after that.
I had heard that "Chrome" usually had a booth at Hot August Nights in Reno and since I was going I took my brothers receipt for the bumper with me. Well they did have a booth there, I watched untill a customer left their booth and told the story and asked if I could look at their receipt. My brothers and the customers receipt were from the same Name company and contact info. After hearing my story the new customer went and got their 600.00 and bumper back.
I looked at their inventory to see if they had a 58 Ranchero bumper in stock and they did.
I went up to the table and handed them my brothers receipt and said I was here to pick up the bumper. They looked at the receipt and handed over a rechromed bumper and that was that.
Maybe JV Polish Metal will be at the Hot August Nights swap meet in Reno, might be worth a drive.

I try to stop here whenever I can. he has always had everything I was after and I know he does a lot of mail order stuff.
If you look on Google maps his place looks small but if you look on the South end of town near the freeway, you can see his other dismantle area. I've been inside a few of his buildings and he has bins full or trim for everything, parts and engine piled up. Its really quite amazing.
