Headers for a 460

Is there a set of headers anyone has used that will clear the steering box and linkages on both sides for a 66 Galaxie that has had the 460 conversion done? I am not able to do a lot of mods to the headers myself so I need to find some drop in fit. I have an exhaust leak on the manifold and figure If I have to pull it I may as well put on Headers.

Thanks

Re: Headers for a 460

Ford Powertrain offers them. They offer a 'Shorty' version, which would probably be ideal.

Re: Headers for a 460

I used FPA on my 67/460. They fit perfect, dropped in with no problems - cleared steering box and linkage. I would also recommend ceramic coating, really helps with heat and looks.

Search on my user name, there should be pictures. Takes 4-6 weeks to get them.

Re: Headers for a 460

I have a set of headers for a 460 that came out of my '63. They appear to be Crites headers. E mail me if you are interested and I'll send you pictures. They have an alter in them so they fit the linkage. I'll sell them cheap if you can use them. [email protected].
