adjusting a rear 63 bumper

Hi guys - the rear bumper on my galaxie seems too far to the left when installed - the right hand side presses against the curved rear quarter trim on the RHS rear qtr - and there is about 1/2-3/4 inch clearance on the LHS.
Looking at the bolts holding it on, they could all be loosened but the out iron supports appear to set the limit of movement and I can't get it all to move to the right just a fraction....

Is there a trick to adjusting it or do I just put up with it?

Re: adjusting a rear 63 bumper

Are your bumper ends bent inwards? I believe there should be about 3/4" between the end of the bumper and the body. Mine was the same way so I pulled it up next to a tree and attach a heavy duty load strap and then jacked the end of the bumper out into position.
