Headers for 1967 Galaxie

Howdy,

I'm looking for header suggestions for a 1967 Galaxie 500 with D2TEAA truck heads (newly rebuilt 390, .060 over, edelbrock cam/intake/carb).

With those D2TEAA heads, i have low exhaust ports. I am told that the FordPowerTrain headers are probably the best for fit for heads and engine bay . They are pricey at about $1000 per set.

Anyone use a cheaper alternative that doesn't leak and fits in engine bay?

thanks,
Patrick

Re: Headers for 1967 Galaxie

I have heard that the Sanderson headers will fit. That being said, I went with the FPA headers on my
'66 and they bolted right in on the driver side. Same on the passenger side after removing the starter.
Very well made, big thick flange and they sound awesome. Good luck in your search.

See if Mad Dog Headers in Georgia can help you out. Very pleased with the product I received from them. I was all set to fabricate 429 headers in a 60 Galaxie and knew it would be somewhat painful. I stumbled upon those guys through internet sleuthing -- good guys good product.

I also used the FPA on my '67 - fit perfect but a bit tight on passenger upper A arm. Very good quality and they stood behind their work and recoated one side for me due overheat/discolor issue.
