The BEST online place I've found for appliance parts

For you guys that like to fix stuff yourself... I looked around several places, and this is by far the best and least expensive. The part I needed to fix my dishwasher was only around $5. They've even got pictures of most of the parts, so you can identify exactly what you need.

Here's another decent one. Slightly more expensive, but has more pictures.

Appliance Parts From RepairClinic.com - Guaranteed Same Day Shipping.

Nice I was thinking of getting a free fridge of Craigslist but it had a bad motor maybe they will have parts for it.

Anyone have a source for fusible links for small appliances? I did a search on that site for fuses and no results. Every appliance with a heating element has one. It's the weakest link and a built in 'it's time for a new coffee pot' item.

Awesome man! I'm a property manager for a living (small time family operation and I do pretty much all of the work) and it sucks when you have to replace an entire appliance because of one faulty part.

Both my local hardware and auto parts carry bulk fusible link wire. Of course, you have to match the gauge and length to make it work right.

Re: The BEST online place I've found for appliance parts

I've used them for how to fix info and parts for a dryer and a side by side fridge. Oh and a fan blade for an AC.
I ended up getting a whole nuther dryer of craigslist that the power switch quit on and I needed the element so took all the extra parts for future. Bought new rollers, belt and stuff for the dryer here too.

The side by side mentioned the fan in the freezer section is usually the culprit when the fridge isn't cooling. Found out the fan was just stuck, oiled it, gave it a spin and it's worked ever since but I don't have any shelves for the freezer side and missing the bottom drawers in the fridge section. Decided not to get another off CL just for the shelves but boy those are spendy to buy new shelves!!

Those are the first places I go!

Have you tried checking the company website. I saw that farberware has fusible links in their parts section.

AP wagner might be where I got the AC fan but have been there a few times for other stuff. Not sure if they have what you need but try also to search for "fuse link". I did a search on google and found several.

Re: The BEST online place I've found for appliance parts

If you have or can get a free frost free fridge that runs but won't hold temperature, it may just be the timer in there. They stick in the defrost mode but will call in the compressor so it runs but the mullion heaters are still on so it won't hold temperature.

Later!
