Re: Overheating 390 engine

Haven't been on here lately, but i still don't have this thing running cool. I sent my radiator back, and they said there was nothing wrong with it, but talked me into upgrading to a 4 core. Very little difference in temperature. Has anyone had any issues with a Cool Craft Radiator?? Just not sure i am getting a good radiator, thinking about taking it to a radiator shop and pulling the tanks to see if any of the flues were filled up when they built the core? Does that make any kind of sense??

Re: Overheating 390 engine

The radiator looks big enough. What is the CFM rating of the fan? In 55 degree weather it should cool good if your getting enough water flow. Have you tried removing the heater hoses and plugging the ports on the intake and water pump to increase the water flow to the radiator? Have you checked the pulleys to make sure they are the right size?
