overheating 302

my 302 keeps running hot. I replaced the thermostat and it still runs hot, around 180 when driving but as soon as I hit some traffic or have to slow down and stop and go, she hits 210+. It has a brand new radiator and overflow..... not sure whats up.

What kind of radiator? How many rows? What kind of fan? Do you have AC? Sounds like you need more air at idle.

Re: overheating 302

not sure right now, it is new so I assume the guy would not have put a small radiator for a 302, but never know. It is over in the garage, and I live in Florida so weather right now sucks...... I will try to get a look at it tomorrow

If you go electric you want at least 3000 cfm. If you stay with the blade make sure to install a shrod.
