new horse in the stable. 70 Mav for me.

I just picked up this 70 Maverick. It's got a 9" with relocated springs to fit those big 325's in the back. I was considering a pro touring idea with a small block and 5 speed but this thing is so well set up for a big block and drag setup. Not sure yet. Fairlane first and then shop built next spring and then maybe I can get to this.

Once I start, I'll make a build thread on it.

Go stroker 351W block and auto. 351W is much lighter in a very light car already. Tran tunnel is tight too.
Good choice for car.

Re: new horse in the stable. 70 Mav for me.

I want to do a roller block and the 351 roller blocks are not as easy to come by. Besides, I'd need spacers for that blower. It's made for an 8.2 deck and I can just stroke it out to a 331 or 347. Did it before and that's not tough.

I'll get pics of the hood. They basically just cut out a center section and rolled small pieces and welded them in. It's rough now but can easily bee smoothed out. It was raised to fit the carb with cleaner under the hood on the blower.

Thanks!
