Good to hear of another 61 Sunliner in the mix, you don't see too many of them. Makes it interesting trying to find parts. Hopefully the header isn't rusted on your top mechanism. Also the trough that runs under the back window and around the sides isn't rusted along with the bolts that engage the top in the trough.

Hi there, I just realized there was a message for me. I bought my top on EBay from a private party that had bought it and not used it and sold the car. It's been a few years so I don't remember the brand. Me and my brother installed the top using some instructions that the moderator of this forum "shot rod" either posted up or emailed me, it was an article written up about installing the top on a 64 Galaxie if I remember. It took us around 8 hours to get it mostly installed and much of another day for me to finish up the loose ends. It came out fairly well I think considering we had never attempted this before.

Hi there, I'm new to the forum. I've just bought a 61 Sunliner and looking to replace the top. I read on a post that sounded like you did this yourself too. How did you get on? Would you recommend a brand/supplier for good fit and quality? I'd appreciate your feedback.
