I just started to do my cobra brake conversion on my car and after putting together a drum brake spindle, hub assembly, baer rotor and pbr caliper with randalls rack and pinions bracket, the caliper is hitting the wheel spoke.
I'm running 17" american racing torque thrust wheels with 4.75" of backspacing. I can make it work with a 3/8" spacer behind the wheel, but then the tire is going to rub on the fender lip that is already rolled.
I'm looking at either shaving the pad a 1/8" and/or grinding the caliper to make it work without a spacer.
Thanks for the help
