Idler Arm

I'm replacing my worn out factory idler arm with an aftermarket one from Moog. The frame bracket mounts on the threaded pivot arm, no problem. But, the other end that has a pressed in bushing is causing me grief. Affixed to the steering arm/bar there is a partially threaded stud. I assume the idler arm is meant to fit in this spot, however, the diameter of the threaded stud is larger than the diameter of the hole of the bushing on the idler arm. Is the idler arm meant to fit 'snug' on this stud....if so, it would have to be pressed on because it won't slide on to it easily. Or, is there a chance I was sold the wrong Moog idler arm?

Re: Idler Arm

Do you have power steering or manual? I seem to recall the stud is a different in size between the two. What is the Moog part number?

Re: Idler Arm

Problem solved. Part number was Moog 8118. Turns out that the place that sold it to me somehow came up with the wrong number. Go figure. Wrong part doesn't fit. What gives?
