new radiator

Hey guys i just got a new aluminum radiator, It's a summit racing one i think the company is called north star. Anyway I have been getting light rust appearing by the fins. I have not tried a flush yet because I have no idea what is causing this. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: new radiator

By the fins inside or outside? If it's inside, then it's likely iron rust staining from your engine. Post a good photo.

Re: new radiator

Two ways - one is below the reply box, Additional Options > Attach Files > Manage Attachments. Unfortunately, you are limited in the number of photos, and they have to be approved by an Admin before they show-up. Understandable, but getting around it either requires a full paid subscription, or:

Host the photo on a web location. Your own online space, or photo host sites like Photobucket. I mostly use imgur.com, as they are free and don't require too many steps or passwords to upload and save, and you can do minor editing. Once saved, copy the link that starts with "[IMG]" and paste it in your post. Bingo - instant results.

If you use a host site that does not have an IMG link, just copy the direct link or location of the photo, click on the icon and paste the address in. Same results.

Re: new radiator

I use www.photobucket.com ...
they also have a mobile app called snapbucket that lets you upload directly from your phone....
you just have to register for a free account .... and your set...
best of all, you can upload tons of pictures and don't cost a dime..
like david said , each image will get an IMG link....
that you then just copy and past into post.....
once you get the hang of it..... its very easy.....
