Whining noise when slowing down
1965 Fastback - it has the original (rebuilt) 289 4V with a rebuild C4 cruise-a-matic.
I put new seals, wheel bearings, new bearings in the rear differential too, new lube, I had a local reputable shop rebuild my c4. I put a new crush sleeve in too when closing it all up. I followed tech books and internet how to do it all, but I have a whining coming from under the car in the transmission or rear end area when I coast. If I am above 25 miles per hour and left off the gas to coast (to a stop sign or just slow down...) it whines pretty loud from inside the car...if I accelerate the smallest amount when I hear the whining...it stops the whining. What have I done wrong? or is it likely transmission...? thoughts?
