66 Mustang 6 cylinder Transmission question

Hello to all! I recently purchased a 66 Mustang with tons of missing parts. I have the 6 cylinder 200 bolted on it, but missing the transmission, bell housing and drive shaft.Car was originally automatic, but I am hoping to install a manual transmission. I was able to get a bell housing "C60A-6394-C" and a supposedly 3 speed for 66. The transmission has "C5AR 7008 B" marked on it. Bell housing and transmission does not mate. I think, the 3 speed might be from a 289 or similar V8. Any chance I could get a bell housing to make it work? Alternatively, I also have a 302, but its a mess and I need to clean it up enough to get to the model #, hopefully the 3 speed will work on it?
Thanks much and looking forward to some expert opinion.
