Question changing the 4 lug to a 5 lug

looking into getting back on my 78 II ralleye
i have been thinking of canging out the 8" rear 4 lug axles and putting on disk brakes to the rear making some 15" tires work, anyone know where to get the axle shafts probably go with a 10.5" disk on the rear
also plan to change out the front to 5 lug too.

just think the 13" tires will be hard to get more than the 15"

Re: changing the 4 lug to a 5 lug

I used the 8" 5 lug maverick axles on mine, same size wheel bearing. Had to use mustang bearing retainers and did a little grinding on them to clear axle flange on back side. If I did it it had to easy. Bought the 5 lug rotors from speedway but lots of sources in the street rodder magazines.

Re: changing the 4 lug to a 5 lug

There was a 4 bolt but if you got V8 you got 5. Also think when they got disk brakes they went to 5 bolts even if it was a six cyl.
