T5 Question

REplacing the front bearing retainer out of steel versus the factory aluminum. I assume the shaft gets oiled or greased. My Chiltons is vague, saying to grease the pivot arm and ball and what it calls the release lever pivot pocket and to fill the grease groove of the release bearing hub. The manual says muli-purpose grease. Can anybody throw me a bone on this one? What to lube, what not to, and what's the best grease or oil to use?

Re: T5 Question

A thin coating of grease goes on the steel sleeve where the throwout bearing rides. Make sure you remove all the shim(s) from under the factory race and reinstall it in the new one.
