65 merc cyclone

Hello forum members. I recently bought a 1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone. It came with 2 engines. The original 289 premium fuel 4 barrel V8 (made Jan 1965) (rebuilt and dyno'd at 275 Hp) and a 302 from Blueprint Engines (aluminum heads making 390 hp. Plus top loader and original 9 inch (2.90 ratio) no limited slip. Was an A/C car but that's gone. The car received new paint. Interior is original condition. The gauge panel was changed and new carpet.

This is my first muscle car. I've already had to change the thermostat (too cold), need to replace the alternator (no output on the sta to run the choke). For some reason the speedo cable isn't plugged into the transmission.

It's been fun learning how these cars are put together. I hope I can gain enough knowledge to help people but in the beginning I think I'll be asking for more help than I'll be giving. Thanks in advance. Bill
