New need help

Hey, guys, I figured this would be the best forum to get involved with considering my goals. I just inherited a 1962 Mercury Comet that my stepdad built. He always wanted 1000hp car, so he built one. Now the problem is that I know the most about the car and well only know the bare minimum. There are still a few switches that I do not know what they do yet, but I am learning. So I have tons of tech questions, could someone please point me in the correct direction for those? Thanks, guys, hope to get this thing running correctly and have some fun along the way.
