Re: non-start mystery

What ignition system & distributor does it have?

That issue reminds me of the factory ford distributor TFI ignition module failure. When they'd cool off, they'd start.

Also the previous ford electronic ignition boxes on the mid 70's (if it's been retrofitted). They also had a hot start issue sometimes.

Re: non-start mystery

I would give Edelbrock a call.

Edit: Sorry - I thought you meant an Edelbrock EFI.

non-start mystery

Can anybody help me out there? My mechanic/builder just left town and I've got nobody to turn to yet.

Here's my problem - I've got a '91 LX with a Boss 363 and nothing is stock. It's a wonderful car but will not restart when it's hot. Starts fine when cold and runs perfectly. If you stall it, it restarts fine. But stop for a tank of gas and she won't restart. Engine just spins and doesn't catch at all. Had to call AAA the other night. By this time he got there, she started up perfectly. So why will it start after sitting for 1/2 hour like nothing ever happened?

Can anybody offer some suggestions what to look for/at? The car does have FI, by the way. Edelbrock Victor. I'm desperate. Thanks.
