Re: 78 mustang ii header issues, help?

In the process of doing this now. To get passenger side to fit, the car is on jack stands, I had to unbolt the front right motor mount & jack up on the engine. I cut off the rear tube that had the slip joint & it went in, then lower the engine down to get it to line up.. Wishing I would slid them into place BEFORE I reinstalled the heads.

Hoping driver side goes easier.

Two engine cranes!!??
well glad they fit. And you might want to fab up a little skid plate or something for that header tube that goes around the crossmember.. Hmm then again maybe not

Hotrod Pinto, You go brotha man. Couldn't have said it better myself. I suspect that crammers response hit close to home with you, being a Pinto fan. I bought an 80 Pinto myself a few years ago to hotrod it, but my wife wasted my project fund on bills & food for the kids. I've always wanted a hotrod pinto - love that 'homely' look.

What ****weed doesn't realize (or maybe he does & he's an even bigger a$$hole than I originally thought), is that folks have very different tastes in cars. Shoot, the folks at CarCraft are hotrodding a Rambler. Myself, I have the worlds second ugliest car - the 66 Ranchero & I love it.

Because they're not face to face, some of these jacka$$es think they can 'talk' to folks in a way they'd never talk to a 'real' person.

ive only heard that the headers fit the small bellhousing C4, And dont fit the manual ... Sorry.

I don't know if hedman made two different headers for this application(I doubt it) but my brother's car is a manual trans and the headers fit great.
Hmm maybe i was thinking of another Mustang II owner that had a 302 T5 combo.. I think that the best fitting headers though were the old Cyclone/Blackjack headers. But those havent been made for a long time. Maybe scrounge Ebay for a couple of months.
ALSO ALSO!! I forgot that Hooker Makes some sweet Super Comps that emulate the old cyclone style.
They are pricey though!! @ $400+ Ceramic coat are $620

People like you give the hotrodding hobby a bad name.
Just Shut The Hell, up and if you dont like the car fine, who Gives a Crap anyways?? Keep your opinons to yourself and if you dont have anything to add thats helpfull to him installing his headers on his car That HE likes (as well as tens of thousands of others) then dont reply. Simple as that!

I just think that its sad that anyone coming into the hobby would read your posts and think that its the right way to be.
