Valve body is reverse pattern manual with trans-brake from Broader.

I could consider the roller. Is there a thread on the subject? Or more info? I'll do a search, but sometimes searches take a while as there's soooo much info here!

At 550 HP, an input shaft would be good insurance.
Why do you think full roller will complicate it. Again good insurance . Can be done yourself if you have access to basic machining. The Broader #9 kit works well
A "H" or "C" servo is good.

What valvebody ?

I was hoping not to have to go the full roller route. It complicates things.

It sounds like I don't really need the hardened shaft.

Others have thoughts on this?

I am using blue clutches and Kolene steels. 24 spline on both ends. Kevlar intermediate band , red reverse , full roller from PA ,real C servo , and a Winters rev/man VB. B&M alum pan. Trouble free for 10+ years. High ten low 11 @3,000 lbs.

C4 600HP Build Questions

Several years ago I built my C4 with parts from Broader & a lot of help here (thanks!). Motor (68 Mustang) was about 460 HP, ran 11.70s. Got about 1000 passes on it; still going strong. I'm building a new motor and it'll be 550 HP. I plan to freshen the trans. What other upgrades should I do to be sure it lives? Current build: 1974 C4 (26/24 spline shaft) Front pump oiling mod (removed spring & check ball) 5 red clutches in both drums #9 thrust washer oiling mod Drilled reverse/high clutch drum Rollerized 3-gear planetary (from Broader) Replaced #4 Thrust with Torrington (From Broader) Aluminum deep +1 quart pan Kevlar rear band A-code servo Was thinking the following: Hardened input shaft H-code servo Is the Broader #9 needle bearing kit worth doing? Thanks.
