Weren't there some 289s carried over to the 68 model year to clear out inventory?

67 Ford Fairlane questions

Recently acquired a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 convertible. It has a 302 in it, but the engine is not original to the car as it shipped with a 289. I did some online research to try and find out if a 302 was even an option in '67 and wasn't able to get an absolute answer.

Anyone know if the 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 convertible had that engine as an option - maybe even midyear?

Thanks.
