Welcome to the forum. Call Comp cam, they will walk you through a cam brake in. not that hard.I think one of the most important things when breaking in a cam is , once you start the engine is to keep it running at about 2000rpms for 20 minutes.I have never done a engine swap with out pulling the trans as well. Good time to check clutch and flywheel.Roger

The other think that's got me worried is cam break inn on this fe im new to fords and any advice would be great

yep. not a lot of wiggle room. you need to un bolt the motor mounts from the engine. they won't come out by taking the nuts off where they mount to the frame. thats all i can think of at the moment

so im about to swap my tired old 390 for a fresh 64 390 I just had rebuilt its a 4 gear car will I be able to swap the engine with out pulling the standard trans thanks
