There was a 4 bolt but if you got V8 you got 5. Also think when they got disk brakes they went to 5 bolts even if it was a six cyl.

thanks i will check out those lengths, didn't know the axles on the mavericks were the same, wasn't there a 4 lug too with the 6cyl. on the mavericks.
as soon as i am done with my factory five build this is on my bucket list

I used the 8" 5 lug maverick axles on mine, same size wheel bearing. Had to use mustang bearing retainers and did a little grinding on them to clear axle flange on back side. If I did it it had to easy. Bought the 5 lug rotors from speedway but lots of sources in the street rodder magazines.

changing the 4 lug to a 5 lug

looking into getting back on my 78 II ralleye
i have been thinking of canging out the 8" rear 4 lug axles and putting on disk brakes to the rear making some 15" tires work, anyone know where to get the axle shafts probably go with a 10.5" disk on the rear
also plan to change out the front to 5 lug too.

just think the 13" tires will be hard to get more than the 15"
