62 Saga

So I have been posting about the 62 in need of a new engine. I have several quotes for a rebuild all ranging from 2800 to over 3000 from 6 different shops all in differnent areas. It's really expensive so I wanted to explore options. Where can I buy a 170 or a 200 inline six? I know I can search Craigslist for used motors but I really would like something new if it's possible. Does anyone sell these engines all done? Thanks for all the help guys.

Re: 62 Saga

WTF??? A rebuild for your inline 6 shouldn't exceed about an even $2000 from a good shop doing exceptional work.

The poster clearly stated he wanted to find a take-out at a reasonable price. I am a$$-u-ming that it is neither a dedicated restoration or a race car.

It even comes with DURASPARK II...

Why are you so alarmed and using nasty language?

He wanted something new, which I'm Ass-uming he meant rebuilt. As I dont think you will find a "New" 170 or 200 CI Ford inline 6 cyl.

I would get a Pull a Part 5.0 myself.
