Re: Ranchero bed material

FE,

Where is this solution that you speak of? I just did a search of 150 miles of Indy,
And I don't see any cheap Rancheros for parts.

WJS asked for measurements of some possible sources.

Re: Ranchero bed material

Anyone parting one out can cut a out some and send it to him I'm sure. Is he trying to patch it or replace the entire bed? Many ford cargo vans has plenty of material to re-do all of his ranchero one would think...

Besides, it's not going to hurt anyone if he e-mails and asks the people selling or parting out a 67, if they'll sell him a part through the mail. I do it all the time.

FE,

I'm not sure how much he needs. Or what he wan't to spend.

I know his PC time is limited. I'm sure he will respond or get with me.

Re: Ranchero bed material

Thanks for all the help.
One issue is I canít allow my place to look too much like a junk yard. Just cut up two 68 Cyclones. I thought Rick of Fat in Fast Ranchero was going to be able to save me some bed floor material but it got trashed. My plans call for redoing the Ranchero this winter.
Plans are to install the Ford crate 306 engine (with Mountaineer intake) I purchased along with an AOD I had rebuilt. Including FPA tri-Y headers. Looks like a new drivers floor will be needed and repair some issues at the front of the bed floor. I also plan the R&C four link in the rear and the Borgeson steering box. Then a new left rear quarter and coat of blue & silver paint. Am on the lookout for some cheep fox body mustang seats.
What front springs should I use? I like the way the 300,000 mile springs set but their time has come to be replaced.

Re: Ranchero bed material

Warren,

I have two sets of Turbo Coupe seats, get with me or hit the kid up if you see him at work.He may have some pictures in his phone. They look like the Fox body seats, but more plush. No tweed.

I had 2" lowering springs on the Fairlane before doing the R&C IFS, I bought them from PST.

Re: Ranchero bed material

Thanks, I'll see your kid this week, most likely. Tell him I'm on the SouthWest side all the time now I didn't get Delta qualified (my choice).
We will do that run for van floors, just trying to get things lined out so that when I start cutting I can finish.
