Re: Trouble starting when the engine is hot

I have had this problem before. Timing and high compression can affect this.

Do you have a powerful battery? Choose one with very high CCA.

Also, a starter cable with a lower gauge...

Re: Torker 289 - Keep? Sell? - Cam Reqs?

The Torker is a single plane mani. I think it will work great with today's higher lift roller profiles. Back in the day, dual plane manis were better for low end torque, but valve lifts back then...

Re: Engine identification FE/FT?

8K8 is the block casting date.

The block casting number will help identify it with certainty.

Re: whats the value of my 427 cross bolt in 36 coupe race car

Is it a side-oiler or a top-oiler? Side-oiler is worth more.

Re: Rims & Tires For 1970 Torino Cobra

An 8" rim is too narrow for these tires. I would shoot for a 10" rim.

The shifter mounting bosses are the problem here. On the Mustang toploaders the shifter will be farther rearward than on the Galaxies. If you don't mind a little metal surgery on your floorpan, the...

Re: 1964 Galaxie 4 speed swap
