Simply remove and plug the vacuum signal. This won't help if the valve is stuck partially open and/or the spacer plate is burned through.

If the conversion was clean, the car can be restored to original condition (or driven as is) as the body type is unique. If the car was butchered, one has to balance the cost vs....
