  7. Pesky Alternator Light - 1968 Galaxie 500

    Galaxie Pages
I'd be fine if I can get the original one working. The voltage regulator has been removed. The harness for It is gone too, but I think where it exits the firewall on the engine bay side is still there. I need to look closer, the whole harness could be there, just tucked away in the corner by the...

Yes, I am having trouble trying to find the right wire under the dash to tie into. The previous owner removed the voltage regulator out under the hood, and I can't find the old wires out under the hood to tie into. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

While I was waiting on my new LED lights and sockets for the dash, I decided to try installing a shiftkit in my C4 transmission. Here are some pics from the day. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

Update on the dash lights! I got a round chainsaw file and some electronics cleaner and really went to work on fuse slot for the dash lights. After some work, The dash lights work now. I'm going to get a rifle bore brush and load It into my cordless drill and get it done for good. Next after I...

OMG my dashboard is really trying my patience. I am having trouble getting dash lights to work. I am also having trouble getting voltage at the fuse for the dashboard. I managed to get the dash lights to work for a few minutes today, but after that, nothing. I have narrowed it down to a few...

  15. probe for water temp too long

    Galaxie Pages
Yes I had the same problem for my Ford 302. I was using a Bosch mechanical water temp gauge. The shank on the probe was too long to fit my aluminum intake. Bosch makes an adapter just for that problem. It comes with two different fittings to work on your intake. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

  18. 10.5 TC on 164 tooth flexplate

    C4 Transmissions
Here goes a dumb question: the motor determines the flexplate not the transmission correct? And if that is true, if your bellhousing matches up right with the flexplate, then it will work correctly right? My motor has a 164 tooth flex plate because it has an AOD transmission. I have a C4...
  19. Kickdown Linkage Question

    C4 Transmissions
Before I knew the AOD that came in my galaxie was bad, I purchased a Lokar TV cable kit. It looks very similar to the Kickdown cable kit Lokar has for the C4. Can I just use this instead of buying another cable? Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

Managed to get the timing chain cover drilled for a dip stick. Also got the alternator mounted. Now I just have to wire it up to be finished. For anyone wanting to add in a front mounted dipstick, it's no trouble at all to drill. The aluminum that you drill through is about 1 inch thick, so...
