32/35 suspension basics help!

Hello! I recently rescued a 35 ford 5 window that was a modified asphalt racecar in the late 60's. I'm familiar with cars but not early ford suspension. The front axle in my 35 is stabilized using a common attachment point (V shape)on a crossmember under the car, where as the 32 coupes i see at the local cruise nights use a stabilizer that connects on each side of the frame independently.
QUESTION- Is it possible to use 32 style stabilizers on a 35-40 chassis? does anyone do this? I ask because i like the look and it frees up real estate under the vehicle. Also, what does it mean when a front suspension is referred to as "suicide"? Thank u in advance!

Re: 32/35 suspension basics help!

The 3 point suspension is the type installed originally and the 4 bar type side mounted is a modified type suspension. You might try checking out the Ford Barn or the Jalopy Journal, helpful Ford guys there too. The Barn is geared more for original.
